Construction of the world’s deepest escalator installed in “Park Pobedy” metro station in Moscow has been completed.
This is what Deputy Mayor of Moscow for urban construction policy and construction, Marat Khusnullin, said at a session of the government of the Russian capital city on Wednesday.
“We have completed the construction and launched the metro escalator, which is the longest one in the world. Its length amounts to 130 meters and it is located at a depth of 68 meters,” Marat Khusnullin said.
The official added that the project envisaged construction of the exit from escalator to the second western underground vestibule of “Park Pobedy” metro station.
