Construction of the southwestern section of the Second Ring of Moscow underground, carried out by a Chinese contractor, the China Railway Construction Corporation (CRCC), is scheduled to begin late this year, the head of the Moscow Construction Department, Andrey Bochkarev, announced on Tuesday.
“At present, the design of this section of the Third interchange circuit continues, most likely in late autumn or early winter construction activities will begin there”, — Mr. Bochkarev said.
According to Andrey Bochkarev, the design work is conducted jointly by Russian and Chinese engineers. “The construction of this phase should be completed by 2020,” — the head of the Department added.
