On April 5, 2018, a meeting of the working group was held at the Russian Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities, where a plan for the implementation of the “Smart City” project has been endorsed.
This is what the press office of the department told Construction.RU. At the meeting chaired by Deputy Construction Minister Andrey Chibis, the issue of putting this project into practice in 20 Russian cities was discussed.
The approved plan includes six main parts which set out the tasks that must be fulfilled to introduce the “smart” housing and utility system, as well as create a safe and comfortable urban environment for residents of these cities. As Andrey Chibis has noted, currently, solutions allowing to encourage the regional authorities and municipalities to introduce modern technologies are being discussed. In particular, this will affect the rules of subsidizing the regions within a project for the creation of a comfortable urban environment.
The Deputy Minister has noted that decisions are being developed with the participation of representatives of such large Russian corporations as Rostelecom, Rostec, Rosatom and others.
