This year in Russia, it will be obligatory for contractors to enter the SRO (self-regulatory organization) for the design and construction of low-rise housing, it was reported today at a meeting of the Government of the Russian Federation in Moscow, by the Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services, Mikhail Menn. According to him, it is necessary to have a systematic solution to the question of the quality of new-built housing. Also, the introduction of examinations of project documentation and state construction supervision of objects of low-rise housing under construction within state and municipal contracts is planned. They will be financially responsible for low-quality work of contractors in the SRO, Mikhail Menn warned.
