On the basis of the existing Volkswagen automobile plant in Kaluga, the German company will initiate new production of the MQB module chassis to enhance the competitiveness of its cars.

It will reduce the prime cost of the cars produced and to increase assembly efficiency. Production expansion and a cheaper rouble will add to Volkswagen’s exports from Russia.
