The powerful new 400 km gas-main from the Krasnodar region to Crimea (from the “Russkaya” pump-station in the Krasnodar region to Sevastopol) will be put in operation between the end of 2017 and the middle of 2018.
The Minister of Fuel and Energy of Crimea, Sergei Egorov, told journalists about this in Simferopol. According to him, the work at the gas-main construction site will start in the first quarter of 2016. The work will be conducted by the “Stroygazmontazh” company belonging to businessman Arkady Rotenberg. Crimean companies will also take part in the construction. Investment in the project will total 20 bln rubles.
The main aim is to put the gas-main in operation at the same time as two new TES near Simferopol and Sevastopol. The construction is supposed to be completed on time. Design and survey work are being carried out successfully and the equipment and the first 200 km of pipes are being bought.
