The ‘Platinum Arena’ ice palace in Krasnoyarsk, with a capacity of 7,000 spectators, will be put in operation in two years.
Musa Bazhaev, Head of the Alliance Group, told the RF President, Vladimir Putin, about this during their meeting. According to him, he understood the President’s words about attracting business representatives to Universiade, so he took a decision to build this object at the expense of his own company for Universiade 2019. The palace may become the alternative Universiade opening stadium in case of bad weather.
Many competitions or concerts may be held there later. But first of all, the ice palace is designed for holding winter sports competitions: figure skating, hockey, short-track, etc. The construction work has already started and will be finished in two years. The project investment will total 3 bln rubles.
To remind you, the Winter Universiade (Student Games) will take place in Krasnoyarsk from the 2nd to the 12th of March, 2019.
