A company from Thailand has attracted other foreign investors to the construction of a sugar mill, which is to be located in Khabarovsky Krai.

As the TASS agency reported, the Thai Sutech Engineering company will set up a modern production enterprise with a capacity of 1,500 tons of produce per day in the region.

The investor has already attracted partners from other countries. The company, from Indonesia, will supply components. Banks from Thailand and Japan will ensure project financing.

The powerful new mill will process cane-sugar from Thailand and other states of South-Eastern Asia.

The Thai company is planning to bear 80% of the costs for opening the new enterprise, and the rest of the investment will be made by the Russian counterpart by way of providing a land plot and a connection to infrastructure. Investment in the project is estimated at $200 mln.
