The international ESforce Holding is to build the world’s biggest stadium for cyber-sportsmen at the expense of the USM Holding, owned by millionaire Alisher Usmanov.
The work at the construction site of Arena Moscow, with an area of 5,000 m2, is underway, the holding’s press office told Construction.RU on Tuesday. The site is located near “Timiyazevskaya” metro station.
$5m will be invested in the project. The stadium’s commissioning is scheduled for October, 2016. Additionally, a restaurant and a 180-seat computer club will operate for gamers at the stadium.
Training activities and e-sports tournaments are to be held at Arena Moscow, as well as fan meetings and other entertainment events.
In autumn 2015, USM Holding has also invested $100 mln in the Russian e-sports community.
