On the 22nd of April, the Supreme Court of Dagestan sentenced the former republican Vice Prime Minister, Magomedgusen Nasrutdinov, to 5 years of imprisonment in a general regime penal colony. The court also ordered that the convicted man pay a 1m rouble penalty charge.

Mr Nasrutdinov was found guilty of fraud. The criminal case against him was initiated back in May, 2013. The court established that the former Vice Prime Minister and his accomplices were engaged in the forgery of documents.

As a result, the property of the gas distribution system of nine municipalities, with a total length of 1m linear meters, has passed into the ownership of the “DagGaz” company. The business entity has acquired it just for 58m roubles, whereas the objects’ market value was significantly higher.
