Every Moscow region town to have its own sports stadium

The authorities of the Moscow region plan to develop sports stadia in all major towns in the area. The program’s realization will be started in the largest regional towns, the head of the Moscow region, Andrei Vorobyev, said within the course of a meeting with representatives from the sports community. The event took place in the Klin district.




Stadia are to include a football field and a race track as well as a platform for public events. The program of the stadia creation and modernization in the Moscow region’s towns is scheduled to be launched in 2017. At present, the authorities have to decide on a standard project and to select stadia, which need to be modernized and reconstructed.

Today, there are over 500 football fields and 120 central football stadia in the Moscow region.
