Turkuaz Shipping, the owner of the “Lira” dry cargo vessel, has paid compensation to the contractor, building a bridge across the Kerch Strait, for having run into one of the poles.

According to the RIA Novosti news agency, the monetary compensation has already been transferred to the contractor.

As a reference, on the 19th of March the dry cargo vessel crashed into a pole of the temporary bridge at the Kerch bridge construction site, damaging it. The construction contractor filed a 35.3m roubles suit against the ship's owner.

A representative of Turkuaz Shipping, the Turkish company, replied to the complainant's letter, requesting the repayment of the agreed sum of money, asking about the conditions of abandoning the claim. At present, the money has been transferred but hasn't yet gone into the contractor's bank account.
