In the Sverdlovsk region, a court has made the decision to remove the head of the Kamyshlov city district, Mikhail Chukharev, due to grave violations over the resettlement of unfit housing inhabitants.
Mikhail Chukharev is charged with abuse of authority, the press office of the Investigative Committee told Construction.ru.
As it turned out, in 2013 the head of the district concluded contracts on the construction of residential buildings for resettlers from unfit and dilapidated housing. Two houses needed to be built, worth 57m roubles.
In 2014, Mikhail Chukharev signed a protocol of acceptance, whilst being aware that the work hadn’t been completed. In order to finish the construction, a new work contract has been concluded for 10m roubles. Investigators believe that the official spent more funds than was needed, and thus inflicted considerable damage to the budget.
