The Volgograd city court has sentenced a construction company’s director to 2 years and 6 months of imprisonment for tax evasion to the tune of 22 m roubles.
The director was in charge of federal road repairs, the press office of the regional department of the Investigative Committee told Construction.ru on Tuesday.
As has become known, between 2011 and 2012, the head of the company forged accounting records and sub-contracting agreements, working, on paper, with a non-existent firm.
In fact, the convict’s company had been carrying out the construction work of all the objects by its own efforts and without subcontracting. As a result, the entrepreneur concealed over 22 m roubles in tax payments.
