A tennis club / sports complex, part of the national tennis center of Russia named after Juan Antonio Samaranch, is scheduled to be put into operation in late 2018, the president of the Moscow State Construction Supervision Committee, Oleg Antosenko, told Construction.ru on Monday.

According to him, the facility will be built on Leningradskoye Highway, opposite buildings №60-62. The construction site is located on the territory of a specialized public sports and recreational area. The club’s buildings, with a total area of 16,300 m2, will have 1, 2 and 3 storeys.

At present, in-situ concreting is 70% complete, and metal structures have been assembled.

The next construction phase involves building an open demonstration tennis court with temporary demountable grandstands and a 200-room hotel for sportsmen.

The Fund for Tennis Development in Russia is the contractor on the project. All objects are being erected at the expense of investors.
