Government of the Moscow region has drafted amendments to the urban construction regulation, which will prohibit the builders from locating apartments on the first floors of residential houses.

Instead, shops, culture centers, co-workings and scientific workshops are planned to be located in the place of residential apartments, the press office of a deputy head of the regional government, German Yelyanyushkin, told Construction.RU on Monday.

Apart from the improved residents’ comfort, that will help to develop the middle-size business in the Moscow region. At present, these amendments are submitted to building developers for discussion at a session of the regional Building Developers Association.

The changes concern new construction and reconstruction projects of residential buildings of more than 3 storeys, located both in urban areas and suburbs.
