Investor intends to build in the Smolensk region eight advanced stock-breeding facilities to raise beef cattle.
According to the announcement published on Wednesday on the investment web portal of the Smolensk region, the project includes the creation of approximately 400 new jobs for local suburbs' dwellers.
The total investment will amount to 8 bln roubles. Land plot for the facilities' construction will be alloted without an auction. The work at the site is expected to be completed as early as in 2017.
The Smolensk region is a part of the Central Federal District of Russia. Agricultural sector makes a significant contribution to the regional economy. In particular, animal breeding sector serves as the basic source of income for the large number of individual small farms.
