Stations of the Moscow Ring Railway will be built in the style similar to that of the famous Moscow metro stations, the deputy director for designing work, Alexey Zhigalin, told reporters on Thursday.
According to him, Moscow Ring Railway’s specific colours are being developed, but the design has already been approved. It will become a continuation of the Moscow metro style.
The symbol of the Russian Railways and the brand of Moscow transport will be placed upon the elements of navigation, small architectural forms, clocks and other objects. M letter is to be installed over the entrance at a station.
As a reference, the construction of 32 stations of the Moscow Ring Railway and opening of the regular passenger traffic is scheduled for this autumn.
The Moscow Ring Railway will be integrated into the Moscow metro system by means of transfer hubs and will be connected with radial lines of the railway. By 2025 the railway is expected to carry up to 300 m passengers annually.
