Famous Russia’s businessman, Arkady Rotenberg, jointly with his partners, the co-owners of “Sheremetievo” international airport, have acquired Energo-Stroy construction company.

According to Vedomosti newspaper, this is Energo-Story that builds a $630 m terminal and a tunnel in “Sheremetievo” airport. The company has been purchased stage-by-stage. Until the 9th of March 100% of its shares belonged to Russian Renaissance entity.

Later, 99% of its shares were purchased by the Dutch B.V. company and one percent was acquired by a Turkish citizen. Finally, on the 27th of April, 50% of Energo-Stroy acquired TPS Real Estate, which through the Cyprus TPS Real Estate Holdings belongs to billionaire Arkady Rotenberg and members of Russian parliament, Alexander Skorobogatko and Alexander Ponomarenko.

Moreover, they own a controlling shareholder of “Sheremetievo” airport – “Sheremetievo holding”. Now Energo-Stroy’s entering TPS Real Estate will allow to control terms, quality and budget of the construction work. That will also prevent the funds allotted to the contractor from moving to other objects.

We should remind you that the terminal with an area of 114,000 sq.m and a handling capacity of 20 m people per year, as well as a tunnel 6,28 and 2,1 km long are planned to be constructed by World Cup 2018.
