A number of Italian and Russian companies intend to take part in the creation of a medical cluster in at a spa resort in the Caucasus, reports Interfax citing the press office of the “Northern Caucasus Development Corporation” JSC.
According to the company's statement, director general of the “Northern Caucasus Development Corporation” JSC, Sergey Kharitonov, have signed an agreement on cooperation with the Italian investors within the framework of the International Economic Forum held in Saint Petersburg these days. For the part of foreign counterparts, the agreement was signed by GVM Group S p.A., GIM-Unimpresa Association of Italian Entrepreneurs in Russia, Investa EuroMed LLC.
In addition to this, at the Forum another agreement has been concluded, according to which the production of medicine and pharmaceutical goods will be set up in the area of the Caucasian spa resort.
This deal has been signed by the Saint Petersburg State Chemical and Pharmaceutical Academy, Health Ministry of Russia, “Medical and Pharmaceutical Projects. XXI Century”, “Arnest” OJSC and GIM-Unimpresa.
According to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the “Northern Caucasus Development Corporation” JSC, Odes Baysultanov, the residents' pool is being formed on a basis of the innovation medical cluster.
The investments into the project will total 162,1 bln roubles, 40 bln roubles out of which will be allocated from the budgetary funds.
