Production of Mercedes automobiles in the Solnechnogorsk district of the Moscow region might starts as early as 2019.
This is what a deputy head of the Moscow regional government, German Yelyanyushkin, told reporters in Moscow on Wednesday. A corresponding agreement was signed within the framework of the International Economic Forum, which was held in Saint Petersburg last week.
According to that deal, Daimler auto group has chosen “Yesipovo” industrial park in the Moscow region as a potential platform for its production localization in Russia.
The Daimler Group is one of the world's biggest producer of commercial vehicles with a global reach. It also provide financing, leasing, fleet management, insurance and innovative mobility services.
