The prices of housing in the Republic of Crimea will be brought into line with the market environment as soon as the Kerch Bridge is put into operation, the Russian Construction Minister, Mikhail Menn, said on Monday.

The Kerch Bridge will become the longest one in Russia, its length will amount to 19 kilometers. Until December 2018, the object will be available for road traffic, whereas for railway movement it will be opened a bit later.

According to Mikhail Menn, at present, a relatively high housing price is connected with insufficient offer. There are troubles regarding logistics, what impedes achieving a full localization of the construction materials’ production in Crimea.

“In solving this problem we put hope on the Kerch Bridge. As soon as it is put into operation, the logistic situation will drastically change, and in accordance with the market rules, the average price per square meter will be brought into line with the new market environment”, - said Menn in an interview to “Delovoy Krym” newspaper.
