Construction of the “Turkish Stream” pipeline might be restored only when Gazprom receives a written conclusion on this project from the European Commission.
This is what Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Management Committee of Russian energy company Gazprom, Alexey Miller, told reporters today in Moscow following the audit meeting of the company.
According to him, the target market for this project are the countries of South-Eastern Europe and Balkan Peninsula.
For these states the gas supplies going by route of the “Northern Stream” are not competitive. At present, a degree of the project readiness is high, both technologically and organizationally. Everything depends now on the decision of the European Union.
