The Government of Russia decided to allocate 100 bln roubles to construction of “Tavrida” highway in Crimea, Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Medvedev, said at a meeting on the prospects of road construction in Crimea on Monday.

The decision was made last week.

“We have found all necessary financing, although not without problems and debates, to carry out the road’s construction to the full extend. This sum is significant, it totals over 100 bln roubles and requires maximum diligence”, he said.

Thus, the road construction will continue until 2020. Maximal cost of the object, as well as other parameters, have been already determined. By autumn, the documentation on technological price audit will have to be prepared.

The new 4-lane 300 kilometer highway is designed to connect the cities of Kerch, Simferopol and Sevastopol.
