Representatives of Atomstroyexport JSC, the company, which is a part of Rosatom state corporation, and Bolivian Atomic Energy Agency (ABEN) signed in Moscow the first contracts on construction of Center for Nuclear Research and Technologies in Bolivia.
In particular, the projects envisage preliminary engineering study and evaluation of the condition of Bolivia’s nuclear infrastructure, the company’s Communication Department told Construction.RU on Thursday.
This is an important stage of practical work within the Centre’s construction. An intergovernmental agreement on construction of Center for Nuclear Research and Technologies in Bolivia’s city of El Alto was signed by the two countries in March this year.
Bolivia is to allocate $300 m to finance the works at the Center’s construction site. The project will become the first one concluded between Russia and Bolivia in the field of nuclear energy.
