On the 5th of August, operatives of the Federal Security Service (the FSB) detained a head of the Third Main Department of the Special Construction Agency of Russia, Alexander Shashkin, in an airport of Saint Petersburg.




According to the media, this investigative action was carried out within investigation of the criminal case over bribery by contractors in exchange for guaranteed tender winning for military contracts.

The matter concerns an amount of sum exceeding 61 m roubles.

We should remind you that similar charges were also brought against a head of purchase department of GUSST №3 at the Special Construction Agency, a senior officer of inventory and logistics management subsidiary, a specialist of equipment purchase department and a head of equipment and materials supplies department.
