Business group IBEC believes that the housing crisis in the capital and largest city of Ireland, Dublin, could be overcome by means of construction of more high-rise buildings, breakingnews.ie reports on Tuesday.
This statement was made by the Group in connection with the draft Development Plan for Dublin envisaging reductions in the building height limits, whereas IBEC calls for building higher density and taller developments. It will also help to attract investment.
"We have a growing population, but also we are a global competitive city, and we need to take advantage of opportunities that say, for instance, Brexit and uncertainty in the UK have thrown up for other cities around Europe." said IBEC's representative.
