Vladimir Putin orders to enhance transport accessibility of Russian Far East

Following a meeting with the Cabinet held on the 10th of August, President Vladimir Putin gave an assignment to improve transport accessibility of the Russian Far Eastern regions, states the document published on Kremlin’s official website on Thursday.




“Within the framework of the previously concluded agreements, Russian Government, jointly with Aeroflot – Russian Airlines OJSC, Sberbank of Russia, VTB bank, Rossiya Airlines JSC and the Bank of Development and Foreign Economic Affairs state corporation, should ensure putting into operation longer-ranged aircrafts with the purpose to enhance transport accessibility of the Russian Federation’s subjects included in the Far Eastern Federal District,” reads the instruction.

Time of performance is determined until the 1st of December of 2016.

Vladimir Putin also instructed the Government to prepare a draft federal budget for the year 2017 and to consider the funding of the state program entitled: “Social and Economic Development of the Far East and the Baikal region”.
