Construction of the second phase of the Bushehr nuclear power plant in Iran will be carried out on a basis of a new safety concept, the press office of ASE Rosatom told Construction.RU.
The project is implemented with the participation of Russia.
According to the company’s official, this 3+ project, in which unique technologies and advanced solutions are being implemented, has already been granted a certificate of the European operating entities.
Nuclear power plant units of a 3+ generation comply with a so-called “Post- Fukushima” requirements of safety and reliability. We should remind you that a groundbreaking ceremony at a construction site of the Bushehr nuclear power plant’s second phase is scheduled to take place on the 10th of September.
After that, construction of VVER-1000 type № 2, 3 power units with a total capacity of 2,100 MW will be launched on a turn-key basis.
