80-year old Austrian resident barricaded himself inside the house in Neustadt, a city located south of Vienna, threatening to burn the building.
He made such decision, after the local administration authorized his eviction from house, RIA Novosti reports.
According to the data provided by NOEN Austrian web portal, the police cordoned off the area, where the incident took place. In addition, a special force unit arrived at the scene.
An old man, upset with the administration’s decision to evict him, poured flammable fluid, supposedly petroleum, upon a bailiff and then poured it on the floor of the building. Afterwards, he locked himself inside the apartment and refused to leave it. At present, the pensioner is detained.
