“Wall” project on Russia-Ukraine’s border 12% completed, says Yatsenyuk

The project for the creation of fortified structures and security systems on the Russian – Ukrainian border has advanced just by 12% over the course of the past 1,5 years, said one of the project’s initiators, the former Prime Minister of Ukraine, Arseniy Yatsenyuk.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk added that the project, named in Kiev “Wall” and “The European Embankment”, required new money infusions from the government, TASS reports.

“Over the course of the last 1,5 years, the project has been significantly underfunded. It equals the best performance of similar projects, which are under construction now in the West. Due to lack of funds, this project is implemented just by 12%,” said ex-PM of Ukraine.
