Chinese authorities are going to start the construction of the deepest station in the world for high-speed trains near the Great Chinese Wall in Badaling near Beijing.
As the local press reports, all the work at this unique construction site is to be completed by 2019. The Badaling station, three floors high, will be one of the objects of the Winter Olympic Games of 2022. The trains will move along the route Beijing – Zhangjiakou (Hebei province). The total area of the structures located at the depth of 102 meters will achieve 35,000 square meters, and the moving staircases will be 62 meters high. The newest explosive work technologies will be applied during the construction.
