Metro Cash & Carry, a German retailer, intends to invest 20 – 22 million euro in construction of its new hypermarket in the city of Krasnodar located in the Southern Federal District of Krasnodar.




This is what the company’s press office announced on Friday following the results of signing a protocol of intentions within the framework of Investment Forum in Sochi.

The document was signed by Deputy Head of the Krasnodar region, administration, Yury Gritsenko, an interim head of Krasnodar, Alexander Mikheev, Russian Metro’s subsidiary’s director for technical exploitation, Alyona Yelshina.

The works at the construction site of this huge trade center are scheduled to be completed by the end 2017. After that, about 200 new jobs will be created there.

This will be the second such hypermarket in Krasnodar. The third is already operating in Novorossiysk.
