Belarus and Russia have settled a challenging issue in the field of the energy resources’ supply. This is what Belarusian President, Alexander Lukashenko, was informed about, BelTA state news agency reports on Monday.
“Yesterday I got acquainted with the governmental report on oil and gas issues regarding the Russian Federation. As far as I know, the dispute is over and we managed to end up with signing the relative document. All issues, at least at the time of yesterday, have been agreed and resolved,” said Alexander Lukashenko.
As a reference, since the beginning of the year, Belarus has been negotiating with Russia reduction of gas prices. At the same time, since July, Russia has decreased its oil supplies nearly threefold in response to underpayment for delivered natural gas.
