On Monday, a new terminal was opened at Calgary International Airport, which was designed to raise twofold an acceptance rate of the facility, The Calgary CTV News reports on the 31st of October.

The project is estimated at $2 billion. The space at the airport with the new expansion spans two millions square feet. According to officials, the new building has all the amenities that visitors need, including automated check-ins, fifty shopping and dining sites and a hotel for three hundred rooms.

Both security lines and customs checks will operate faster with 25 new automated passport control machines. Passengers should use the P-2 parkade to park their vehicles, because it is in the close vicinity to the terminal.
