Construction of Daimler’s plant, the owner of Mercedes-Benz brand, in the Moscow region, Russia, will cost at least €300 million, Russian Industry and Trade Minister, Denis Manturov, told reporters on Monday.
“I can only provide you with rough parameters, with the consideration that a special investment contract hasn’t been signed yet. Productive capacity is about 25-30,000 vehicles. This is a premium segment, except for S category, that is premium offroaders,” said Denis Manturov.
The Minister added that construction of such plant of full technological cycle will cost no less than 300 million euro.
According to Mr. Manturov, the investment contract is expected to be signed until the end of the year. The Moscow region of Russia has been selected as a location for the facility.
