President elect Donald Trump confirmed his intention to construct a wall on the U.S.-Mexican border and deport 3 million illegal migrants, the measures that he pledged to take during his electoral campaign. This statement he made in an interview to CBS TV channel.
Donald Trump specified that deportation would concern criminals, drug dealers and people with criminal record.
“…probably two million, it could be even three million, we are getting them out of our country or we are going to incarcerate. But we’re getting them out of our country, they’re here illegally,” said Mr Trump and added that the decision was undelayable.
Answering the question on his plans regarding the wall construction on the border with Mexico, President elect stressed that the structure would be erected at certain sections of the boundary, but at other sections a fencing would be more appropriate.
