In August 2016, some 381 permits for construction have been issued in Cyprus, what is 22,1% more than a year ago, when 312 such permits were granted.
This is what Cyprus Property Buyers, the website dedicated to real estate in Cyprus, reported citing the data provided by the Cyprus statistics service.
Also, in comparison with August 2015, a total amount of money allotted to new buildings’ construction, increased by 38,8% and reached €61,1 million, while a total build-up area went up by 66,7% and amounted to 69,100 square meters.
A total 209 licenses were issued for the construction of residential buildings, 2 – for communal buildings, 69 – for non-residential ones, 12 – for utility facilities, 26 – for plots of land and six licenses were granted for the purpose of road construction.
