The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) has significantly increased its investments in American project Hyperloop, the head of the organization, Kirill Dmitriev, told reporters on the sidelines of a summit of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) held in Lima.
“I will not reveal the details, but it’s a many-fold increase,” added Kirill Dmitriev. He stressed that the matter concerns joint investment with DP World, a Dubai port operator.
RDIF also sees the potential for further development of joint projects with investors from the USA and is conducting consultations on the issues of rebuilding cooperation with its American partners.
As a reference, Hyperloop is a project for the high speed transportation of passengers and goods in partially evacuated tubes. The concept of the project was offered by the Hyperloop company founder, Elon Musk, after 2012.
