Auchan, a French retailer, opened on Wednesday its second hypermarket in the city of Tyumen located in the Ural Federal District of Russia, at the border of the European and Asian parts of the country.
Investments in the project amounted to 386 million rubles, as it is stated in the press release of the company “Auchan Retail Russia”.
The total area of the hypermarket is 7.6 thousand square meters. The range of products of the company accounts for 15,000 names of food and nonfood products.
According to the statement, the hypermarket opened in Tyumen became the 28th Auchan’s store of a “City” format in Russia.
As it was previously reported, Auchan is planning to open about 10 new stores in the Russian regions in 2016.
