Georgia to hold negotiations with Gazprom and Inter RAO on plans for 2017

Between the 13th and14th of December, a Vice-Prime Minister and the Energy Minister of Georgia, Kakha Kaladze, is going to hold meetings with the leadership of Gazprom-Export, the company of Russian Gazprom oil giant, and Inter RAO, an energy holding company headquartered in Moscow, the Republican Energy Ministry announced on Monday.

The meeting with representatives of Gazprom-Export is scheduled to take place on the 13th of December in Vienna, Austria, and that with Inter RAO is to be held on the 14th of December in Minsk, Belarus.

Negotiations between Georgian Energy Ministry and Gazprom are held on a basis of the contract concluded in 2003, which has been updated annually. During the talks, the parties mainly discuss the conditions for transit of Russian natural gas to Armenia, for which Georgia currently receives 10% of the total supply.
