The largest hydroelectric power plant (HPP) in the South of Russia will be built in North Ossetia in 2019, the press service of the regional governments reported following a meeting in Moscow between the head of the Republic, Vyacheslav Bitarov, and the general director of JSC RusGidro, Nikolay Shulginov.




“The parties discussed the final stage of construction of the largest hydroelectric power plant in the South of Russia under construction - Zaramagskaya HPP-1, that starts next year. This hydroelectric dam is the most significant investment project, which is currently being implemented by RusHydro in the North Caucasus. Since the 1st of January 2019, the plant is expected to be put in operation”, - the message reads.
