On the 13th of December, 2016, SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment released a statement saying that it will be engaged in developing a new SeaWorld park, which is planned to be located in Abu Dhabi, the capital and the second most populous city in the United Arab Emirates, RTT News reports on Tuesday.
The theme park planned to be built on the Yas Island will be come the first SeaWorld park outside the USA. However, it will differ from the American analogue, since there will be no Orcas.
The project will be implemented in partnership with the Abu Dhabi government-backed Miral.
This spring, following the protest campaign from animal rights activists, SeaWorld pledged to cease captive breeding of killer whales or so-called Orcas.
