Consortium of Japanese investors will take part in the project for construction of a passenger terminal at “Novy” Airport in the Russian Far Eastern city of Khabarovsk.




This is what the head of the Board of Directors of Khabarovsk Airport JSC, Konstantin Basyuk, told TASS news agency following the signing of memorandum in Tokyo held on Friday.

Konstantin Basyuk pointed out that Japanese companies of Sojitz Corp., JOIN and JATCO confirmed their intentions to embark on the project realization within a joint enterprise set up with Khabarovsk Airport JSC.

This joint enterprise, with 51% of shares owned by Khabarovsk Airport JSC and 49% belonged to the consortium of Japanese investors, will become a resident of “Khabarovsk” advanced development territory.

The start of the facility’s construction is scheduled for mid-2017, after the state expertise is carried out. A total cost of the project is 6,5 billion rubles ($105 million).
