The Ministry of Fuel and Energy of Crimea addressed the region’s residents, asking them to limit the use of domestic heating appliances, in order to prevent energy deficit at the time of frosts, the Ministry’s statement published on Friday reads.
“It is very important to rationally and efficiently use the electricity, and observe the general rules for energy saving that will significantly reduce electricity consumption”, - as it is follows from the message.
According to the document, due to the cold, electricity consumption in Crimea exceeds 1,300MW during the morning and evening peak, what creates a deficit in the system.
“At the moment all generating facilities of the Republic of Crimea, including independent supply sources, are being exploited”, - the regional Energy Minister said.
