The Parliament of Crimea cancelled ahead of schedule a moratorium on real estate transactions within the 100-metre coastal zone, that had been previously imposed.

Temporary restrictions on real estate transactions were introduced by the State Council of the Republic in September this year. The moratorium was valid until the 1st of February 2017. In particular, the document denied state registration of the right of ownership of individuals and legal entities, except for state and municipal enterprises and institutions, for property items wholly or partially located within 100 meters from the coastline of the Black and Azov seas.

Subsequently, the given decision was challenged by the acting Prosecutor of the Republic as contradicting the law.
