Electing Donald Trump as the President of the United States caused a sharp surge in demand for elite housing in the Moscow region.
In particular, purchasing activity increased by 68% in December 2016, compared to the same period last year, the report prepared by Metrium Groups real estate company states.
“In December, the largest number of transactions were concluded since the beginning of 2016. At the same time, the average purchase budget fell by 46% -from 2.8 million to 1.5 million dollars”, - stated there.
Experts believe that the main reasons for the upsurge of interest to high-budget countryside real estate is the prospect to improve relations between Russia and the United States after Donald Trump’s victory.
