Russia and Kazakhstan sign plan for further cooperation at Baikonur

Russia and Kazakhstan signed a plan for further cooperation on the Baikonur complex, as well as amended the agreement between the two countries on the status of Baikonur, procedure of formation and status of its executive bodies from December 23, 1995.




The documents were signed following the meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin and the leader of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.

The plan for further cooperation on the Russian side was signed by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, from Kazakhstan – the first Vice Prime Minister of the Republic, Askar Mamin.

Director of Roskosmos state corporation, Igor Komarov, and the Minister of Defence and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan, Beibut Atamkulov, also affixed their signatures.
