As soon as the new President of Moldova, Igor Dodon, took the office, flag of the European Union was removed from the residence’s building.
This drew the attention of journalists who came on Monday morning to take part in the first briefing carried out by the President, who presented the team of his advisers to the public.
Earlier, there were two flags on the residence facade, one, on the left side, was the flag of the Republic of Moldova, and the other, on the right side, was the flag of the European Union. Now there was only the Moldovan flag left.
Spokesman for the President, Ivan Ceban, told reporters that “the President respects the Constitution and encourages everyone to follow this example.”
