Modern Ice Palace to be erected in Russian city of Samara

Ice Palace designed to house 5000 people is planned to be built on Molodogvardeyskaya Street in the Russian city of Samara. The facility will also include infrastructure for sportsmen and spectators.

As the press office of the region’s governor told Construction.RU today, a new rough plan envisages the construction of a training ice pod, all-purpose sports and basketball rooms, the establishment of commentary boxes and a press center for reporters.

Choreographic and fitness facilities, as well as additional locker-rooms and administrative premises for professional clubs have been added to the project.

It is noteworthy that a four-lane ice pod for curling will be provided in the sports complex.

The construction cost of the Ice Palace was estimated at 1,15 billion rubles.
